Integrated Research and Training Center

The Integrated Research and Training Center (IRTC) is a JICA-established center under the management of the Technological University of the Philippines. IRTC provides up-to-date training and meaningful research results towards continuously developing technology and engineering programs and practices.


The Center is a five-storey building located in the Manila Campus of TUP at Ayala Boulevard corner San Marcelino Street of the City of Manila. The Center provides facilities in the following areas: material engineering and testing, energy engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, information and communication technology, artificial intelligence, multimedia technology, manufacturing and production engineering.


IRTC is the research, training and extension arm of the Technological University of the Philippines. It also provides valuable services to local and international industries and educational institutions.


VISION


The Integrated Research and Training Center aspires as a dynamic hub for research, training, and production, significantly contributing to the Technological University of the Philippines' goal of becoming a leading institution in engineering and technology education, recognized alongside top ASEAN universities.

GOALS

The Center is committed to driving modernization and enhancing productivity by conducting engineering and technology research and development studies, offering advanced and specialized training for professionals, engineers, technologists, faculty, and students, providing essential technical services, and transferring valuable technologies to client sectors. This transfer is achieved through collaborative and multi-sector initiatives aimed at reaching shared goals and maximizing impact.

The Executive Director manages the Center and implements institutional policies through programs and projects. They also handle professional service requests within their expertise.

Consultations

IRTC consultations provide guidance on research proposals, project development, emerging technologies, industry collaboration, and regulatory compliance. They also support training, publication, and intellectual property protection for researchers and professionals.

PACME & ICCE

The Pacific-Asia Conference on Mechanical Engineering (PACME) and International Conference on Civil Engineering (ICCE) are engineering endeavors of the Integrated Research and Training Center, Technological University of the Philippines and Nihon University in Japan.
