The Manufacturing and Energy Engineering Department (MEED) is dedicated to advancing research, training, technical services, and academic instruction in the critical fields of manufacturing and energy engineering. The department's scope encompasses a wide range of specialized areas, including metal and non-metal processing, metrology, destructive and non-destructive testing, and computer-aided process and product design. Additionally, it explores key energy-related disciplines such as combustion, energy production, and renewable energy technologies. The department also provides expertise in heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC), ensuring a comprehensive approach to modern engineering challenges. The Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Laboratory provides practical training in climate control technologies, essential for both residential and industrial applications. Additionally, the Boiler and Hydraulic Laboratory and the Metallurgical Laboratory support research in fluid dynamics, energy systems, and material properties.
