Welcome to MEED Department

The Manufacturing and Energy Engineering Department (MEED) is dedicated to advancing research, training, technical services, and academic instruction in the critical fields of manufacturing and energy engineering. The department's scope encompasses a wide range of specialized areas, including metal and non-metal processing, metrology, destructive and non-destructive testing, and computer-aided process and product design. Additionally, it explores key energy-related disciplines such as combustion, energy production, and renewable energy technologies. The department also provides expertise in heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC), ensuring a comprehensive approach to modern engineering challenges. Through its multidisciplinary approach, MEED equips students with the knowledge and technical skills required to excel in both traditional and emerging industries.

To support its academic and research endeavors, MEED maintains state-of-the-art laboratory facilities designed to bridge theoretical knowledge with hands-on applications. The Design and Fabrication Laboratory enables students to engage in prototype development and precision manufacturing, while the Automotive Laboratory offers insights into modern vehicle systems and technologies. The Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Laboratory provides practical training in climate control technologies, essential for both residential and industrial applications. Additionally, the Boiler and Hydraulic Laboratory and the Metallurgical Laboratory support research in fluid dynamics, energy systems, and material properties. These well-equipped facilities enhance the learning experience, fostering innovation and technical expertise in future engineers.
